Shape Shifting Pasta

With Prof. Eran Sharon
And Liora Rosin

How can we apply theoretical physics and material programming to everyday mass manufacturing?

A collaboration with Prof. Eran Sharon (Hebrew University) translating non-euclidean elasticity research into a working design process: we developed a highly scalable system of double-layer dough that ships flat and transforms into full 3D structure during cooking.
Reducing packaging volumes by shipping flat and morphing only at the point of consumption.

Digital Matter

How can language expand imagination, and the creative dialogue with generative models?

Digital Matter is an ongoing research project into digital materiality: the way a digital entity can appear, and sometimes act, as though it has physical presence and tactile qualities.

I sculpt material entities with words, using a linguistic taxonomy and a dialogic agent I designed, and ask what happens when a native Hebrew speaker prompts an English-speaking machine.

The project treats the gap between languages, and between a maker and a model, as material to work with.
