The project examines the relation between usability and emotional value and how they embody in product design. I discuss this issue by designing three different kettles.

Which components are required to convert a simple volume into a kettle?
Like a desert plant which minimize his foliage, trying to survive, what is unnecessary gradually transforms and finally disappears.

Between the familiar to the exiting, the shape of the following kettle was designed to create a conflict which will lead to compromise by the user.

With no lid and by proposing a different way to fill in water, this kettle question our needs as users: how far we are willing to compromise usability?
